Dr. Tang is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, American Osteopathic Association, American Pain Society, and the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation.
As a Doctor of Osteopathy, Dr. Tang takes a holistic approach to prevention, diagnosis and treatment of injuries. He emphasizes the whole person concept and the connection between the musculoskeletal system, disease and symptoms.

Dr. Xuong Tang was born in Vietnam to Chinese parents who immigrated to Olympia, Washington in 1980. He pursued his undergraduate training at the University of Washington where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology then continued his training at Western University of Health Sciences obtaining his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 2003. After completing a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the renowned Rush University Medical Center, he was accepted for a fellowship in Interventional Spine & Pain. Dr. Tang is focused on delivering high quality, accessible healthcare for the Leeward community and is now accepting new patients and consultations at the Work*Star Injury Recovery Center located in the Clinical Services Center at Hawaii Medical Center-West.
